Reader’s Theatre with a difference

Reader's Theatre is a valuable tool for any classroom.  It allows students to take virtually any piece of literature, analyze it and adapt it into a script.  This script can then be performed with a minimum of preparation, props or scenery.
The enthusiastic group of Grade four students put their best foot forward to put up a fantastic Reader’s theatre which was improvised to make it more interesting and fun. The students got enough time to practice their entire performance, emphasizing voice level, stress, intonation, pitch, and movement. They could catch a lot of attention and praises from the audience. This helped them become more confident learners apart from development of their fluency and expression in reading.
