Trading through exchange of goods



To provoke an understanding of the term TRADE Grade IV students had to bring items required to prepare a sandwich (One item /each group). Trade for other items required to complete their sandwich for their snack happened through barter system. This helped them understand and conclude that humans are social beings hence need to depend on others for their basic requirements and trade for the same. This activity also helped them perceive the concept of supply and demand with certain items like bread and cheese in high demand whereas peanut butter the least in demand.
