International Children’s Painting Competition of UN

The students of Grade V are working collaboratively on "The International Children’s Painting Competition" on the Environment in relation to their POI Unit- Government, to understand the connection with the key concept- Responsibility. The competition is organized every year by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), the Japan-based Foundation for Global Peace and Environment (FGPE), Bayer and Nikon Corporation. It has been held since 1991 and has received more than 3 million entries from children in over 150 countries. The theme of the 22nd painting competition is “Water: The Source of Life” and children will have until 29 February 2013 to submit their entries.
It is so overwhelming to see the students working and making their presence felt on international platform through their participation.
