Relay with Simultaneous Equation

I played a relay game with my 8th graders to make solving simultaneous equations fun and interactive. The class was divided into 5 groups. I shuffled each group in such a way that they were seated starting with the slow learners to the fast learners. The last one in each group was called the 'Captain in-charge' of the group. A set of 10 questions was displayed and the group started with the first student solving the first question and passing to the second and so on. The three fastest teams to complete the questions got a bonus of 2 points. The captain got to move around and help his team. Everyone participated with great enthusiasm and by the end felt very comfortable with the concept.
