A three-hour workshop on conflict resolution has been started as part of
professional development for the IBDP staff. The first part of the session was
held on August 31. The workshop includes an exploration of the structure of
conflicts in personal and professional life. The aim is to uncover the patterns
of conflicts and find patterns of solutions that one can apply to conflict
situations.
The group explored conflicts of
interests and positions, conflicts of values, conflicts of style, closed
communication loops and intra-personal conflict. In the following sessions, the
group will explore solutions and use role plays to build skills to implement
those solutions in real life situations.
