Classical Music Performance for Parent Orientation

A classical music presentation by the enthusiastic students for parent orientation was a great show and well appreciated. Children from different grade levels performed the compositions of Sri. Purandaradasa,  Annamacharya, Muttu Swami Dixitar. The program started with the soothing violin performance by Pooja 0f 6th grade with “vatapi ganapatim” in Hamsadhwani raagam set to adi taalam. Different noteswaras of Muttu Swami Dixitar sung by  students of grades 4 and 5 were well received and loudly applauded.
Different vocal patterns and alankaras presented by the students gave good experience of following the talam and tabla together which is a little tricky one.   The bhajan  was well received and audience started clapping and sang along. Annamacharya keertana  “Brahma mokkate” in a fast tempo  on violin was an energizer and all the kids and audience sang to the tunes and clapped to the beats.  The program was a big success and a great experience for all. Participants were POOJA, MEDHINI, CHETAN SAI, RIDDHI REDDY, RIDDHI DUBE, SADHANA, and PRAMITHI.
