Spoorthi Session on December 14, 2013

We the students of Grade XI volunteered to participate in Spoorthi activity on December 14, 2013. A team of 4 students volunteered to participate in the Spoorthi event. We came to school at 9.00 am. 33 Spoorthi kids came for this session. We met them at the Art room where they started drawing colourful and beautiful pictures. They were so enthusiastic to draw their favourite pictures with crayons, sketch pens and paints.

After about an hour, we painted their hands and made them put their handprints on a chart. Immediately after this, we took them to the soccer field and basketball court. We taught them how to play basketball as they were unaware of how to play such a sport. They grasped the sport extremely fast. At about 11.00 am, we brought them inside the computer labs where they learnt how to use these electronic systems. They sat and played games on the computer, surfed the internet, etc. We then took them for lunch and said our goodbyes to these enthusiastic children.

The experience of interacting with these wonderful children was amazing and a great opportunity. We enjoyed talking to and teaching these children. Finally we love this opportunity given to us. We would like to thank the school for giving us this opportunity of interacting with these kids. It was once in a lifetime opportunity.
