On
the 12th of December, the students working for the PYP exhibition under the
issue of child labor were given a guest lecture. The guest lecture took place
in the 5C classroom. The guest lecture was given by Miss. Namratha, a senior
school teacher for social science. The topic which was to be discussed and
orientated with the students was the situation of child labour.
The goal of the
lecture was to give more insight into the Issue itself. It all started by a
small interactive session with the students by asking them what child labour is
and answering some queries they had. After a few minutes, they proceeded to
watch a very beautiful and touching video which sent one of the students in
tears.
After the video, there was a small discussion followed by an oath which
was taken by all the teachers and students present there to stop child labour. Children
gained a lot of knowledge from the guest lecture which ended with a question
and answer session.
