Currency, our 4th POI topic, was really informative
and it made me aware of the global statuses of many places. It helped me
understand how the forms of money came into existence. We also went into the
depths of understanding the evolution of currency.
Throughout the unit, we had 2 guest lectures and 1
field trip to the HDFC bank. Both the guest lectures were very interesting and
informative and the field trip to the bank sure helped me learn a lot!
Inquiry was a very crucial part of this topic
because we had to inquire the conversions and GDPs. A few students even got
olden days' coins and paper currency! It was one of my favourite POI topics.
