What a fun way to learn! Doing things creatively and
innovatively has become a thing for the children of Oakridge. Especially in ICT
classes they get to see a lot of new software and methods to make their work, their
presentation in so many different ways. Thus, this time something called
Scholastic’s Animal Scrapbook was introduced for Grade 1 and what an amazing
thing it was for them and even more amazing was to see children’s reaction
towards it. They simply loved it.
Scholastic’s Animal Scrapbook provides a nice
template to choose an animal and also provides space to type little
information. Animal scrapbook online activity was chosen as an integration of
their Unit. Grade 1’s used this scrapbook to describe the chosen animal
including its importance and the responsibility towards it. Our students completed
the task in a cooperative manner as it was a pair task. (See pics below).
