The performance of junior school
students in the street play generated a huge and welcoming response from the audience
gathered for the show on the occasion of 13th Founder’s
Day Celebrations. The socio comedy “Andher Nagari, Chopat Raja” was performed
in a Street Theatre Form by the students. They floored the audience by their
amazing performances and exemplary use of props and colorful costumes.
Street
Theatre Form is a style of performing among the audience, and can be performed
anywhere and anytime with minimal costumes and symbolic props. It needs lot of
energy to perform, say dialogues, create live music, and sing loudly to create
the ambience. Our little dramatists did it with full vigor and enthusiasm
generating awe and cheer among the onlookers.
