Issue “Rights”: Guest Lecture on Gender Discrimination and Child Rights to Education

A guest lecture was arranged for Oakridge students who are working under the issue of “Rights” for the PYPX. Children have gathered a lot of information regarding their respective issues but it is always a great way of learning when there is a guest lecture that happens to be really interesting.

The guest, Manoj Kumar, is an advocate by profession and has handled cases on Child Rights and Woman Empowerment. He knows the nitty-gritty of child protection laws and woman protection laws. Kids were exposed to different types of cases and instances where child is denied education and when a woman is denied equal status.

It was a great interactive session where the kids got to clear a lot of their doubts. Students became more enthusiastic when the correct answers were fetching them a chocolate. This guest lecture was yet another learning engagement and that too a very good one.
