Integrating with their unit of inquiry
on ‘Changes during growth’ , students of Grade 6 improvised scenes based on
their understanding of the factors that affect the growth during the
adolescence. Students
have improvised scenes on the above topic and then formalized improvisations by
writing. It was a wonderful experience for children. They have shown their
learning and understanding through their expressions, body language, and usage
of space. Students have used various symbolic properties
and costumes.
Student Reflections
Muskaan (grade VI) – The aim of our
drama was to learn something new about ourselves.
Ashley (grade VI) – Our aim of the act
was to show the emotional changes as we grow.
Lakshmi (grade VI) – The purpose of our
drama is to show the problems of a child undergoing adolescence.
Nitika, Kabir (grade VI) – Our scene was
educational and commercial because we get an insight into our emotional self.
