Program for Academically Talented Students (PAT)

They love to learn all the time, no matter if it is beyond the school time
Sr. School segment of Oakridge Newton campus proudly announces the grand kick off of PAT session.
PAT program aims at providing stimulating and rigorous curriculum that challenges and improves student’s independent and self-directed learning school. Students learn about problem-solving, cooperative learning, motivation and task orientation.

How does student qualify for PAT?
Students must demonstrate high academic abilities & most importantly they should clear the screening test conducted in the area of Math and Science together.

PAT for the current batch of 2013-14 with 29 students has been finalized upon conducting screening test for which around 200 students have appeared across the curriculums.
Orientation session for the PAT students has been conducted by the set of PAT teachers on August5th along with the Vice Principal Ms. Hema Chennupaty who detailed about the Objectives, general instructions and guidelines for PAT.

Later, PAT teachers have conducted some interactive puzzle sessions to identify the strengths and areas of interest for students. Grade VII students dealt with Math puzzles and grade VIII students dealt with Science puzzles. These activities also helped the students to work in groups, think, pair and share.
Classes for the PAT will be conducted weekly twice i.e. on Tuesday and Thursday to ensure a proper percolation of conceptual knowledge towards the PAT syllabi.
