Research Methodology in Psychology

“As for the future, your task is not to foresee it, but to enable it.” - Antoine de Saint-Exupery
An intensive workshop on “Research Methodology in Psychology” was organized on 5th of August, 2013 for the IBDP XII (Psychology) students. It was a very well organized and informative workshop conducted by Ms. Simran Luthra and Mr. Mounik Lahiri from the organization, Fill in the Blanks
The workshop centered on various aspects that the students have to focus on, while carrying out an experimental study as a part of their internal assessment in Psychology for the IB diploma program.
The event gave the students an overview of the research process and the pre-requisites of a GOOD RESEARCH study. The workshop facilitators also gave a detailed insight into using various statistical methods to analyze experimental data. Also, the workshop covered comprehensively, ethical practices to be followed and approaches to writing a report for the Experimental study.
The workshop was highly interactive, with the facilitators sharing a number of handouts and learning checks. It helped immensely in clarifying misgivings and doubts the students were regarding their internal assessment work.
