today. Write a series of headlines which might have appeared in the period
750BC to 270BC.
You should think about:
- The name of the newspaper. For e.g., Roman Times, Roman Chronicle etc.
- The events of a newspaper for Roman readers
would choose to headline.
- The type of newspaper you are writing for (for example, a more serious paper like The Times.
- The length of your headline (usually only four words).
- Your focus (for example, emphasizing the Roman victories or emphasizing the enemies’ defeats).
- Whether you miss out any events on purpose.
- You could include advertisements, classifieds etc.
- Crimes and criminals page etc.
