Oakridge International School emerged champions
in the boys’ category of the Dr. Emily Emanuel basketball tournament held at
St. Andrews School in Bowenpally, Secunderabad.
In the boys’ final, Oakridge International
School comfortably beat St. Andrews 43-15. The host were startled by the
fast-faced game the boys from Oakridge adopted. Such was the visitors’
dominance that they cruised to 13-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. To
complement their brilliant attacking game, Oakridge maintained excellent
defensive discipline, shutting out the doors whenever they lost the ball.
For the champions, KarthikSai Gorjala scored a match-high 19 points and his total
score stood at 50 and he was given the title, Most Valuable Player (MVP), Dhruva was given the title, Player of the
game (POG) while Tejaswin added 12.
