The students in the PAT class in grade 8 were
introduced to Rational and Irrational numbers, they represented the irrational
numbers on the number line. The use of irrational numbers was understood by
them and they were amazed at how these numbers play a role in the formation of
sea shells, sunflower petals etc.
Coaching for OLYMPIAD EXAM on ‘Continuing the
series’ was given and a lot of questions were discussed as how to approach to
the answer at the earliest. They recognized if the series increased at a faster
speed it was multiplication and vice versa.
The students were
introduced to the activity of making a ‘Trihexaflexagon’ which involved the use
of isosceles triangles to make patterns .
