Celebrating ‘Incredible India week’ through Drama



Oakridge International School, Newton Campus ,celebrated Incredible India week from 12th August – 16th August. The   Drama department too celebrated this week with great zeal and enthusiasm. The students of Grade 6  presented a series of short skits taking one through the journey of India to attain freedom. They presented glimpses of some of the great freedom fighters struggle for freedom, eg. Mangal Pandey, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, AlluriSitaramRajuand Gandhiji. They also presented a scene of JalianwalaBagh assassination which the students emoted very well.

Students’ Reflection 

Prapthi (Grade IV) – I loved this Assembly. It was very different.
Aneesh (Grade VI) – I have got many appreciations for our special Drama Assembly. Many Teachers appreciated our idea of showing glimpses of Indian Independence struggle.
Varsha( Grade IV) –We learnt a lot from this assembly. I got involved in it.

  1. wierd i say............... could have made it better(im in ois i saw the performances) and there should have been 1 narrator and the gir narrator spoke horrible the guy spoke okay okay.
