Grandparents are our continuing tie to the present-past, to the events and beliefs and experiences that so strongly affect our lives and the world around us. Grandparents are those who fill some of the gaps in our society, our senior generation also provide our society a link to our national heritage and traditions. Grade 1 invited grandparents so that they get the opportunity to show love for their grandchildren. Grandchildren got an opportunity to show their appreciation and love for their grandparents .Both were engaged in doing various fun filled activities like tracing their origin on the world map, putting down finger prints along with their grandchildren to make this day memorable., Grandparents revealed a secret about their children which Create "a memory" – an enjoyable, memorable experience for children and their grandparents. It was a great event were in we made an effort to Honour senior citizens and give them validation in their role of grandparent (or "grand friend" or mentor). We wanted to convey this message to Grandparents that they are making a difference in the lives of younger generations.
